"Newsies, Jr" CAST LIST

Thank you to everyone who auditioned- as always, it was incredibly difficult to make these decisions because of your talent!

Please make sure you look at the entire list, as your name may appear more than once.

You MUST email Mrs. Schubin by MONDAY at 5:00 letting her know if you ACCEPT or DECLINE your role. Failure to do so will result in your role getting recast.

If you do not see your name on the list, please know it was a very difficult decision to make. We hope you will consider coming out and joining the crew for the musical, so you can stay connected to our big theatre family!

NEWSIES CALLBACK LISTS

Below is a link to the folder containing the callback material and the callback lists. Please note there are TWO days of callbacks- Thursday and Friday. 

1) you do NOT have to be memorized for callbacks

2) you DO have to be logged into your school account to access the materials 

If you do not see your name on the list, please don't panic- these are only for specific roles, and you still have a chance of getting into the show. No decisions have been made yet.

Below is a collection of important dates and information who anyone who is interested in auditioning for the spring musical, "Newsies, Jr". Please note: general auditions will be by video submission, while dance auditions and callbacks will be in person. 

TIMELINE:

FRIDAY, JANUARY 27th: RELEASE AUDITION MATERIAL AND AUDITION FORM
        -Audition material is released here on the blog via Google Drive folder (SEE RECENT POST).

        - Audition material will consist of scene options to read, song options to sing. Your audition must have you reading one scene, and singing one song.

        - Ms. Babice will also have a video of the choreography for you to learn for dance auditions, so you can be prepared.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd: VOLUNTARY AUDITION/TAP WORKSHOP

        - Anyone who would like to practice or learn more about the audition process can attend the audition workshop this day from 3:00 - 4:30. This has no bearing on your audition.

        - We will be answering questions, going over the music, and learning basic tap steps (no tap shoes required!)

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10th: VIDEO SUBMISSIONS DUE

        - All audition videos (reading one scene and singing one song) are due on the FlipGrid by 9pm

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15th: IN PERSON DANCE AUDITIONS (MANDATORY)

        - All students who sent in an audition video must come to the TMS cafeteria this day at 3:00 for the dance audition portion. You will be doing the routine that Ms. Babice teaches on the video.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16th and 17th: CALLBACKS (INVITATION ONLY)

        - Callbacks will be split over these two days. Not everyone will be called back, and you may only be called back for one of these two days. You will be notified.
